Root canals
If you have tooth pain or deep decay, root canal treatment can help save your tooth. This treatment involves removal of the infected tissues, cleaning/shaping of canals within the tooth. Following root canal treatment, the tooth is built back up with core material and crowned to help preserve tooth’s integrity.
Extractions
We strive to help our patients keep their teeth healthy throughout their entire life. However, in spite of our best efforts, some severely damaged teeth may need to be removed. At Epic Dental Care we understand that hearing this can cause a significant amount of anxiety for some patients. Our team is dedicated to helping create the most stress free and comfortable experience possible. We utilize various relaxation techniques, including soothing music, administration of oral conscious sedation, and nitrous gas. What are some reasons why tooth needs to be extracted?
- Cracked or broken tooth
- Severely decayed or destroyed tooth
- Abscessed tooth that cannot be treated with root canal therapy
- Partially erupted or impacted wisdom teeth (to prevent misalignment, gum infection and damage to surrounding teeth)
- To remedy crowding of teeth and in preparation for traditional braces
- To allow for fabrication of removable appliances such as: complete dentures and partials
